Steven Leal mixes light and textures to create pieces that are both modern and classic. Each painting has been reworked several times to develop its depth and contrast. Steven combines explosive colors, textures, and mediums to create several painting series that are unique unto themselves while maintaining a balanced visual aesthetic.  The various series include abstract graphic pieces, sharp-hued portraits, and moody deconstructed works.   Steven continues to experiment with new techniques as his work evolves while maintaining a slight yet recognizable continuity throughout each series.  He tries to stay motivated; your support helps.
